Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras left Tuesday night’s game against the Nashville Predators in the first period with an apparent left ankle injury.
Zegras, who was skating in his 200th NHL game, slid feet first into the side boards with 13:35 left in the first and could not put any weight on his left skate as he was helped off the ice.
Zegras, 22, scored two goals in Anaheim’s most recent game, a 3-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday. He entered Tuesday with seven points (four goals, three assists) in 19 games this season.
The game against Nashville is the opener of a six-game road trip for the Ducks.
