The Philadelphia Eagles activated tight end Dallas Goedert off of injured reserve Saturday ahead of the team’s regular-season finale against the visiting New York Giants.
Goedert, who turned 30 on Friday, has not played since suffering a knee injury in Philadelphia’s 24-19 win at Baltimore on Dec. 1. He was a full participant in practice this week and will return after missing the Eagles’ last four games.
The seventh-year veteran is third on the team in catches (38) and receiving yards (441) and has hauled in two touchdowns in nine games.
Goedert’s return will give him some needed reps ahead of Philadelphia’s home playoff game next weekend. The Eagles (13-3) are locked as the No. 2 seed in the NFC and will rest multiple starters against New York on Sunday.
