Philadelphia Eagles veteran right tackle Lane Johnson did not clear concussion protocol in time and will not play Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Johnson left the Week 3 win over the New Orleans with the concussion, but he returned to practice on Thursday in hopes of playing and was a limited participant on Friday. He was listed as questionable for the game.
The Eagles selected Johnson with the No. 4 overall pick of the 2013 NFL Draft. Since then, they are 97-59-1 in games he has played (including playoffs), and 14-23 without him.
Johnson, 34, is a two-time first-team All-Pro and a five-time Pro Bowl selection.
The Eagles and Buccaneers enter the game in Tampa, Fla., with 2-1 records.
