Great Britain’s Emma Raducanu withdrew from next week’s inaugural ATX Open in Austin, Texas, due to illness.
The 20-year-old has not played since her second-round exit against Coco Gauff at the Australian Open in January.
“I am currently suffering from tonsillitis and am unable to compete this week,” Raducanu said. “Thank you to the tournament for the great hospitality here in Austin.”
The 2021 U.S. Open champion has slipped to No. 81 in the current world singles rankings. The Grand Slam victory remains her only career singles title.
