Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are looking to find their stride when they face the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday night in Boston.

The contest is being played at TD Garden due to Clark’s star power.

Clark is playing in her fourth game since returning from a groin injury. She is averaging just 12 points and shooting 31.7 percent from the field (13 of 41) since her return.

She made 4 of 12 shots on Sunday when the Fever rolled to a 102-83 home win over the Dallas Wings.

“I still probably didn’t shoot it as good as I would like, but I feel like it’s coming,” Clark said in the postgame press conference. “It’s just trying to get my legs under me. … I feel like I’m a couple shots away from having a really good game.”

Clark did thrive in other areas as she registered a season-high 13 assists and matched a career best with five steals.

Natasha Howard stepped up with 18 points on 8-of-9 shooting as the Fever (11-10) won for the fourth time in six games.

The Sun (3-18) have lost two straight games and 12 of their past 13.

Their lone win during the stretch was a 93-83 comeback triumph over the visiting Seattle Storm last Wednesday.

Connecticut dropped a rematch in Seattle on Friday and then fell 92-88 to the host Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday.

Bria Hartley scored a season-best 25 points and rookie Saniya Rivers added a season-best 20 on 8-of-11 shooting for the Sun.

“We did a great job on the offensive side,” Rivers said in the postgame press conference. “We scored 88 points tonight. … We were all getting everybody involved. We were playing very unselfishly … but I think on defense, we got to slow them down. It does us no good if we’re going to score all those baskets and give up the same amount or more.”

Hartley, who played collegiately at UConn, is looking forward to playing in the Garden.

“I’m really excited to play there,” Hartley said. “I’ve never played there before. … Going to Connecticut, I spent a lot of time in Boston … I’m really excited to play in front of that crowd and community.”

The Sun played a game in Boston last season, falling 69-61 to the Los Angeles Sparks on Aug. 20 before a sellout crowd of 19,125.

Earlier this season, Indiana notched an 88-71 home win over the Sun on June 17. Clark scored 20 for the Fever and Tina Charles had 20 for Connecticut.
