The Indiana Fever announced the re-signing of two-time All-Star guard Kelsey Mitchell on Wednesday.
Terms were not disclosed for the 29-year-old veteran, who returns for her eighth season with the Fever.
“I’m thrilled that Kelsey is returning to Fever. She has been an integral part of this franchise from the moment she was drafted,” head coach Stephanie White said. “I have watched her journey from the sideline since her time in college and have always admired her work ethic, approach to the game and the way she interacts with her teammates. I can’t wait to work with her on a daily basis.”
Mitchell has missed only five regular-season games since being drafted No. 2 overall out of Ohio State in 2018.
She averaged a career-high 19.2 points and shot 40.2 percent from 3-point range in 40 games (38 starts) in 2024, making her second straight All-Star team.
Mitchell has career averages of 16.8 points, 2.8 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 233 games (200 starts). She ranks No. 2 in franchise history in points (3,923), 3-pointers made (558) and minutes (7,085).
