Fever’s Caitlin Clark signs historic deal with Wilson

Caitlin Clark

After taking basketball by storm in recent years, Caitlin Clark now will have a partnership with the basketball itself.

The latest endorsement partnership for the Indiana Fever rookie will be with sports equipment maker Wilson, which has supplied the official ball of the WNBA since 2021.

Clark, who already has played four games with the Fever, is scoring 17.0 points per game with 4.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists to begin her professional career after a standout four seasons at Iowa, where she scored 28.4 points per game overall and 31.6 points in her final season.

Her collaboration with Wilson will include testing and advising roles. Wilson already has released three different gold and white basketballs that honor separate milestones in Clark’s college career.

“I think it is super special, and it’s been fun for me,” Clark said, according to Boardroom. “I feel like I was just that young kid who had those basketballs that I would store in the garage. I’m just very lucky and fortunate to partner with Wilson to create something that everyone can enjoy. It connects with a lot of generations, and it’ll be fun to see kids walking around holding them.”

The only other known basketball player to have a partnership with Wilson was Michael Jordan.

Clark already has a number of lucrative endorsement deals that started when she was enrolled at Iowa. A rumored multi-million-dollar deal is expected to be forthcoming with Nike that will include a signature shoe.
