Former Bellator welterweight champion Yaroslav Amosov announced Friday that his contract with the promotion has expired.
“My contract with Bellator is over, it was a great time!” Amosov posted on X.
Amosov noted on Instagram, however, that his story was not ending here. In fact, the 31-year-old Ukraine native referenced the Octagon and a potential move to UFC in his post.
“This is not the finish line, this is a new beginning,” Amosov wrote in Russian, which was translated into English by Instagram.
“New horizons and peaks are ahead. My journey continues, I appreciate everyone who’s been there, those who supported and those who doubted.
“The story doesn’t end, it just changes direction. See you in the octagon.”
Amosov won his first eight Bellator fights before losing to Jason Jackson last November following a third-round knockout in the main event of Bellator 301 in Chicago. Overall, he owns a 27-1 record.
