Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson added his kid to the active roster before “Monday Night Football.”
Tight end Josh Pederson was elevated from the practice squad to the game-day roster by Jacksonville hours before the Jaguars took on the Cincinnati Bengals.
Josh Pederson was signed to the practice squad Aug. 31 and has never played in an NFL game.
He played 10 games in the USFL in 2022, collecting 25 receptions for 325 yards, and was an All-Sun Belt tight end at Louisiana-Monroe.
Jacksonville is Josh Pederson’s fourth NFL team. He signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2021 but was waived before the start of the season.
He has also spent time with the New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs in the offseason.
