Jamie Oleksiak and Eeli Tolvanen scored 50 seconds apart midway through the third period as the Seattle Kraken rallied for a 4-2 victory against the host Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday night.

Chandler Stephenson and Kaapo Kakko also tallied for the Kraken, who won for just the second time since the start of the new year (2-4-1). Goaltender Joey Daccord made 31 saves.

Philip Tomasino and Bryan Rust tallied for the Penguins, who lost their third in a row and dropped to 1-4-3 over their past eight games. Tristan Jarry stopped 14 of 17 shots.

Trailing 2-1 entering the third, the Kraken tied it at 8:04 as Oleksiak, a defenseman, came off the bench and took a pass from Oliver Bjorkstrand before skating between two Pittsburgh defenders and beating Jarry low to the blocker side on a wrist shot from the slot.

Seattle took the lead at 8:54 after defenseman Josh Mahura skated the puck from his own end down the left wing and behind the Penguins’ net. He fed Shane Wright, who sent a pass across the top of the crease to Tolvanen, who lifted the puck over Jarry from near the left post.

Kakko clinched the victory with an empty-netter at 18:57.

Stephenson gave the Kraken an early lead with a short-handed goal at 2:12 of the first on a wrist shot from the top of the right faceoff circle that snuck between Jarry’s pads. Daccord received a secondary assist on the play as his outlet pass started a two-on-one rush with Jared McCann and Stephenson.

Tomasino tied the score at 1-1 at 9:19 of the first as he poked a rebound past Daccord.

The Penguins took the lead at 4:42 of the second on a delayed penalty against Seattle as Rust took a pass from Erik Karlsson and scored on a wrist shot from low on the left wing.
