Lukas Reichel had his first career two-goal game plus an assist as the visiting Chicago Blackhawks routed the St. Louis Blues 8-3 Wednesday night.

Ilya Mikheyev and Tyler Bertuzzi added a goal and an assist apiece for the Blackhawks, who won their second straight game after starting the season 0-2-1.

Frank Nazar, Jason Dickinson and Ryan Greene also scored for Chicago. Connor Bedard earned three assists, Alex Vlasic had two assists, and Blackhawks goalie Arvid Soderblom made 23 saves.

Jake Neighbours produced a goal and an assist for the Blues, who have been outscored 13-2 while losing their two home games. Dylan Holloway and Tyler Tucker also scored.

Blues goaltender Joel Hofer allowed seven goals on 22 shots. Jordan Binnington came on in relief and stopped six of the seven shots he faced.

Chicago took a quick 1-0 lead after Hofer made an errant outlet pass up the middle. Mikheyev intercepted the puck and scored into the vacated net at 3:02.

Neighbours tied the game 1-1 during a goalmouth scramble at 4:29 of the first. But just 54 seconds later, Reichel put the Blackhawks up 2-1 with a bad-angle goal from the left wing.

Holloway tied the game 2-2 by beating Soderblom from the left wing at 14:54 of the first.

The Blackhawks blitzed the Blues in the second period, scoring three times to take a 5-2 lead.

Bedard stole the puck behind the St. Louis net and set up Vlasic, whose slapshot was deflected in by Reichel at 2:49.

Nazar made it 4-2 less than two minutes later by taking a pass from Bertuzzi, cutting in from the left wing and scoring while crashing the net.

Dickinson scored after Binnington relieved Hofer, connecting with a fluttering shot off the right wing at 8:52.

After Hofer returned for the third period, Donato pushed Chicago’s lead to 6-2 by jamming in a loose puck at 1:17. Bertuzzi made it 7-2 with by tipping in Teuvo Teravainen’s power-play shot from the right circle at 5:03.

Tucker got one goal back with a deflected point shot at 11:28, but Greene’s first NHL goal made it 8-3 at 12:21. Greene was playing in his seventh career game, his five this season.
