Sean Durzi scored 66 seconds into overtime Monday night to help the visiting Utah Mammoth rally for a 3-2 victory over the New York Rangers, who lost goalie Igor Shesterkin to a lower-body injury in the first period.

Michael Carcone scored the tying goal 6:15 into the third period before Durzi went to the right edge of the crease and redirected a pass from Nick Schmaltz past Jonathan Quick after eluding New York’s Artemi Panarin.

Dylan Guenther also scored for Utah, which went 2-1-0 on a three-game trip through the New York area.

Utah goalie Karel Vejmelka made 22 saves and his defense limited the Rangers’ chances in the third, especially on a late power play.

The Rangers took a 2-1 lead into the third period on power-play goals by Alexis Lafreniere and Vincent Trocheck — with Mika Zibanejad assisting on both goals — but Utah tied it when Carcone cut to the net and slid a puck by Quick.

Quick made 14 saves after entering for Shesterkin with seven minutes left in the first period.

Shesterkin sustained the injury during a collision with Utah’s JJ Peterka after stopping a shot by Guenther five seconds earlier.

Peterka beat New York defenseman Braden Schneider to the loose puck and his skate blade appeared to collide with Shesterkin’s glove. Shesterkin immediately fell backwards into the crease and was down for a few minutes before being helped off the ice by a teammate and a trainer.

Shortly after the Rangers announced Shesterkin was not returning, Lafreniere and Vincent Trocheck scored on power plays in a span of 8:07 in the second.

Lafreniere opened the scoring when he cut to the right side of the net, skated by Utah defenseman Nate Schmidt and redirected a pass from Zibanejad into the open net with 11:31 left.

Guenther tied it by lifting the rebound of his own shot on a breakaway over Quick with 7:22 left.

The Rangers capitalized on getting a four-minute power play when Brandon Tanev tripped Panarin and Alex Kerfoot slashed Carson Soucy.

A little over a minute into the power play, Trocheck parked himself at the right side of the net and redirected a shot from Panarin past Vejmelka.
