Mason McTavish continued his torrid scoring stretch with a goal and an assist as the Anaheim Ducks defeated the host Seattle Kraken 6-4 on Tuesday night.

Robby Fabbri, Jackson LaCombe and Frank Vatrano each had a goal and an assist and Troy Terry and Cutter Gauthier also scored for the Ducks, who won their third game in a row and moved past the Kraken in the race for a Western Conference wild-card spot. Ryan Strome added two assists, and goaltender Lukas Dostal made 26 saves.

Eeli Tolvanen, Mitchell Stephens, Jaden Schwartz and Shane Wright scored and Brandon Montour had two assists for Seattle, which suffered its second consecutive loss after falling 4-2 to the Edmonton Oilers on Monday. Philipp Grubauer, making his first start in net since Jan. 12, stopped 17 of 22 shots.

Trailing 3-2 after the first period, the Ducks scored three unanswered goals in the second on just six shots.

McTavish tied the score at 1:04 of the second on a one-timer from the bottom of the right faceoff circle after a cross-ice pass from Strome. It was McTavish’s sixth goal in his past four games, matching his output from the first 40 games of the season.

McTavish then picked off an errant pass in the slot and set up Fabbri for a snap shot from the bottom of the right faceoff circle at 5:39 for the go-ahead goal.

LaCombe found the back of the net from the high slot at 7:58 to make it 5-3.

Wright scored off a rebound on the power play at 6:15 of the third to pull the Kraken within a goal, but Vatrano scored an empty-netter at 18:44 to clinch the victory.

Terry opened the scoring at 1:23 of the first period, roofing a wrist shot from the low slot after taking a pass from Strome.

Tolvanen tied the game at 6:43 on a slap shot from the high slot, and Stephens scored on a backhanded wraparound shot to give Seattle the lead at 8:20.

Gauthier scored off his own rebound on a two-on-one rush to tie the score at 2 at 11:59.

Schwartz put Seattle up 3-2 at 14:01, converting a pass from Kaapo Kakko on a two-on-one rush.
