Masters tee times: Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy playing together

scheffler mcilroy

The top two players in the world will play together Thursday and Friday to highlight the featured groups at the Masters.

Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy are part of a threesome with Xander Schauffele that is scheduled to tee off at 10:42 a.m. ET in the first round and 1:48 p.m. ET in the second round this week at Augusta National Golf Club.

Scheffler won the green jacket in 2022 and already has two wins this season, including The Players Championship. McIlroy, the four-time major champion from Northern Ireland, is facing a nearly 10-year major drought and needs only the Masters to complete the career Grand Slam. Schauffele, ranked No. 5 in the world, is among the best players in the sport without a major title.

Playing one group in front of that trio will be defending champion Jon Rahm of Spain, former U.S. Open champ Matt Fitzpatrick of England and Nick Dunlap, who won The American Express as an amateur in January and turned pro.

Tiger Woods is scheduled to tee off at 1:24 p.m. on Thursday and 10:18 a.m. on Friday as the five-time Masters champion attempts to make the cut for a record-breaking 24th straight time. Woods will play with Max Homa and Australia’s Jason Day.

The 13 members of LIV Golf in the field are all paired with two PGA Tour players.

Other notable groupings include the following (all times ET):

–Phil Mickelson, Sepp Straka, Tony Finau: Thursday at 9:36 a.m.; Friday at 12:48 p.m.
–Patrick Cantlay, Min Woo Lee, Rickie Fowler: Thursday at 10:06 a.m.; Friday at 1:12 p.m.
–Hideki Matsuyama, Will Zalatoris, Justin Thomas: Thursday at 10:18 a.m.; Friday at 1:24 p.m.
–Wyndham Clark, Viktor Hovland, Cameron Smith: Thursday at 10:54 a.m.; Friday at 2 p.m.
