Defender Ryanne Brown will suit up again next season for the OL Reign after re-signing through the 2024 season, the team announced Tuesday.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Ryanne was a significant and critical contributor in 2023 and proved she can be a top-level defender in the NWSL,” Reign general manager Lesle Gallimore said. “We’re pleased to have her back to continue her upward trajectory as a professional.”
Brown, who will turn 25 in January, has made 18 appearances for the Reign across all NWSL competitions since she was selected by the Tacoma-based team as the 21st overall pick in the 2022 NWSL Draft after a four-year career at Wake Forest.
In the 2023 regular season, the Indianapolis native made 11 appearances with 23 duels won, 12 tackles won, six interceptions and nine clearances. Her first-ever goal for the club was the game-winner against the San Diego Wave on May 31.
