The New York Rangers traded veteran defenseman Patrik Nemeth and two draft picks to the Arizona Coyotes on Wednesday in exchange for prospect Ty Emberson.
The Coyotes acquired a 2025 second-round draft pick and a conditional 2026 second-round pick.
Emberson, 22, was a third-round selection by Arizona in 2018. The defenseman had 11 points (four goals, seven assists) in 58 games last season with the Tucson Roadrunners of the American Hockey League.
Nemeth, 30, posted seven points (two goals, five assists) in 63 games with the Rangers in 2021-22. He has 65 points (10 goals, 55 assists) in 429 games with the Dallas Stars, Colorado Avalanche, Detroit Red Wings and Rangers.
