Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman practiced for the first time at training camp on Wednesday after being activated from the physically unable to perform list.
The 2021 first-round pick is coming off surgery to repair a Lisfranc injury in his left foot last November.
Bateman, 23, was a limited participant in offseason training activities before being shut down for June’s minicamp after getting a cortisone shot in his foot.
He started training camp on the PUP list and missed the first 12 days while dealing with continued soreness.
Bateman played in just 18 games (nine starts) in his first two NFL seasons due to injuries. He has 61 career catches for 800 yards and three touchdowns.
The Ravens are counting on a healthy Bateman to start opposite Odell Beckham Jr. in first-year offensive coordinator Todd Monken’s passing game.
Baltimore opens the preseason schedule at home Saturday against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Ravens will host the Houston Texans in the regular season opener on Sept. 10.
