The Seattle Reign transferred Brazilian midfielder Luany to Atletico Madrid for an undisclosed fee on Friday.
Luany, 21, had been on loan since August 2023 to Madrid CFF, where she had six goals and five assists in 26 matches (19 starts).
“Seattle Reign would like to thank Luany for her time with the club and wish her nothing but the best as she moves to Atletico Madrid on a permanent basis,” Reign general manager Lesle Gallimore said. “She is a bright young talent who has found an environment that suits her personal and professional goals and we’ve been supportive in accommodating her desire to stay in Liga F in Spain.”
Luany joined the Reign in February 2023 from Brazil’s Gremio FBPA, but never appeared in an NWSL contest.
