Veteran linebacker Trey Flowers is back in the AFC East.
The Miami Dolphins reached an agreement with the 29-year-old free agent, ESPN reported Sunday. He worked out for the team earlier this week.
A two-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots, Flowers was cut by the Detroit Lions in March.
Flowers recorded 24 tackles and 1.5 sacks in seven games with the Lions in 2021.
He has 261 tackles, 31.5 sacks and 10 forced fumbles in 75 career games (64 starts) with the Patriots (2015-18) and Lions.
New England drafted Flowers in the fourth round in 2015. He helped the team win Super Bowls LI and LIII.
