New England Patriots starting guard Cole Strange is expected to miss perhaps up to the middle of the 2024 season due to a significant knee injury he sustained in 2023, NFL Network reported.
Strange has started every game in which he’s played for the Patriots since they selected him with the 29th overall pick of the 2022 NFL Draft.
New Patriots coach Jerod Mayo didn’t shed much light on Strange’s status when asked on Monday.
“Yeah, that is an interesting one,” Mayo said. “He is another guy, you would normally say day-by-day. He’s more of a, let’s say, week-by-week or you can go month-by-month if you want to. But he is working hard, you know, he is doing his rehab. He is here every day. He is in the meeting room, so I am happy where he is.”
Strange, 25, started all 17 games in his rookie season and 10 games in 2023.
