The Los Angeles Rams are trading linebacker Ernest Jones to the Tennessee Titans, NFL Network reported Tuesday.
It was not immediately clear what the Rams would receive in exchange.
Multiple outlets reported Sunday that the Rams had granted Jones, 24, permission to seek a trade partner. Talks between the sides about a contract extension apparently had stalled.
Jones is entering the final year of his rookie deal. He recorded career highs in tackles (145) and sacks (4.5) in 15 games (all starts) last season.
He has totaled 320 tackles, 5.5 sacks and three interceptions in 47 career games (33 starts) since being selected by the Rams in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of South Carolina.
Jones made seven tackles and had one sack in Los Angeles’ 23-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI.
