The Cleveland Browns are signing veteran quarterback Jeff Driskel to the active roster, multiple outlets reported Friday.
Driskel has been on the practice squad of the Arizona Cardinals.
The Browns (11-5) have had a revolving door at quarterback this season due to injuries, and former Super Bowl-winning quarterback Joe Flacco has given the team stability at the position and led them to a rare playoff berth since he was installed as the starter five games ago.
Deshaun Watson started the season at QB but played just six games before undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery. Rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson was placed on injured reserve earlier this week with a hip injury, leaving PJ Walker as the only quarterback to back up Flacco.
Driskel, 30, has appeared in 23 NFL games and is 1-9 as a starter with the Cincinnati Bengals (2018), Detroit Lions (2019), Denver Broncos (2020) and Houston Texans (2021-22).
He has completed 59.2 percent of his pass attempts for 2,228 yards, with 14 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
