Former welterweight champion Leon Edwards will headline UFC Fight Night 255 against rising contender Jack Della Maddalena, MMA Junkie reported Monday.
Edwards (21-4 MMA, 13-3 UFC) will take on Della Maddalena (17-2 MMA, 7-0 UFC) in the main event on March 22 at The O2 in London.
Edwards, 33, lost his title via unanimous decision to Belal Muhammad at UFC 304 in July in Manchester, England.
Australia’s Della Maddalena, 28, extended his winning streak to 17 fights with a third-round knockout of Gilbert Burns at UFC 299 last March in Miami.
Edwards is ranked No. 2 in the latest USA Today/MMA Junkie welterweight rankings and Della Maddalena is No. 6.
