Reports: Panthers reach agreement with RB Miles Sanders, TE Hayden Hurst

The Carolina Panthers revitalized their offense on Wednesday, agreeing to terms with running back Miles Sanders and bringing in free agent tight Hayden Hurst on a three-year contract, multiple outlets reported Wednesday.

The financial details of Sanders’ deal have not yet been released, while NFL Network reported Hurst’s was for $21.75 million and includes a guaranteed $13 million at signing.

Sanders, 25, rushed for 1,269 yards and 11 touchdowns — both career highs — in 17 games (15 starts) with the Eagles last season, his fourth in Philadelphia.

In 57 career games (49 starts), all with the Eagles, Sanders has amassed 3,708 yards on the ground to go along with 20 TDs. He also has 124 receptions for 942 yards and three scores.

Hurst, 29, gives the Panthers a No. 1 tight end. Ian Thomas and Tommy Tremble are also on the roster.

Hurst caught 52 passes for 414 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games (all starts) for the Cincinnati Bengals in 2022. He missed time with a calf injury.

Hurst has 177 catches for 1,718 yards and 14 TDs in 70 career games (31 starts) for Baltimore (2018-19), Atlanta (2020-21) and the Bengals. He was selected No. 25 overall by the Ravens in the 2018 draft.
