Shara Magomedov will face fellow middleweight Armen Petrosyan at UFC 308 on Oct. 26 in Abu Dhabi, UFC officials announced Monday.
Magomedov (14-0) wanted to fight Nick Diaz after beating Michal Oleksiejczuk at UFC on ABC7 last month. Instead, the Russian draws the Russian-Armenian Petrosyan (9-3), who has not fought since losing to Rodolfo Vieira via first-round submission at UFC Fight Night in February.
The UFC also announced on Monday that Mateusz Rebecki (19-2) and Myktybek Orolbai (13-1-1) will face off in a lightweight bout, while Ibo Aslan (13-1) will battle Raffael Cerqueira (11-0) in a light heavyweight showdown.
Those bouts join a UFC 308 slate that features Ilia Topuria (15-0) battling Max Holloway (26-7) for the featherweight title.
