The Los Angeles Sparks terminated the hardship contract of guard Destanni Henderson on Sunday.
In a corresponding move, they activated Layshia Clarendon, who had been sidelined with a foot injury sustained June 9.
Henderson, 24, appeared in 10 games (one start) and averaged 5.0 points, 2.5 assists and 16.9 minutes with Los Angeles.
The Sparks signed Henderson on June 16.
The Indiana Fever drafted her in the second round (20th overall) in 2022 but released her during training camp in 2023.
Henderson averaged 5.3 points, 2.5 assists and 1.6 rebounds in 36 games (five starts) as a rookie with the Fever.
Clarendon, out of the WNBA in 2022, started six games for the Sparks before the injury, averaging 7.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 26.7 minutes per game.
