The final pairing of Akshay Bhatia, Aaron Rai and Taylor Montgomery were set to tee off at 3 p.m.
American Bhatia and Rai, of England, enter play Saturday tied at 13-under 131, with Montgomery two shots back at Detroit Golf Club.
Cameron Young, Troy Merritt and South Africa’s Erik van Rooyen, like Montgomery, are 11 under after the first two rounds.
Defending champion Rickie Fowler is at 6 under following rounds of 66 and 72.
