WNBA leading scorer Jewell Loyd left Seattle’s game against the New York Liberty on Saturday afternoon with an ankle injury and her status for this week and the All-Star Game is now in question.
Loyd exited the game with 7:01 left in the game when she rolled her ankle and collapsed in a heap. She had 14 points in the game, won by the Liberty, and did not return.
“It’s too early to determine what the prognosis is,” Seattle coach Noelle Quinn said after the game.
Seattle has games at Washington and Atlanta this week and the All-Star Game is next Saturday in Las Vegas.
Loyd is averaging 24.9 points per game on the season.
