Kirill Kaprizov scored two goals, including the winner 3:38 into overtime, to lift the Minnesota Wild to a 4-3 win over the Montreal Canadiens on Monday night in Saint Paul, Minn.

Joel Eriksson Ek and Brock Faber also scored for Minnesota, which won its fourth game in a row. Quinn Hughes finished with three assists.

Brendan Gallagher, Ivan Demidov and Kirby Dach scored one goal apiece for Montreal, which earned one point by taking the game to overtime.

Wild goaltender Filip Gustavsson stopped 17 of 20 shots in the victory.

Canadiens goaltender Jakub Dobes allowed four goals on 24 shots.

Kaprizov ended the game with his trademark wrist shot. Hughes dished a pass to him in the high slot, where he briefly handled the puck before firing a shot past Dobes.

The play marked Kaprizov’s second goal of the game and his team-leading 32nd goal of the season.

The Wild started the scoring only 38 seconds after the opening faceoff. Eriksson Ek carried the puck into the offensive zone and scored on a wrist shot from the right circle.

Kaprizov increased Minnesota’s lead to 2-0 with 4:12 left in the first period. Hughes handled the puck before finding Kaprizov, who tapped in a shot.

The Canadiens got on the scoreboard in the final minute of the first period. Gallagher beat a defender in a one-on-one matchup down the right wing, turned to his backhand and shoved a shot into the net.

Montreal evened the score at 2-2 with 17 seconds left in the second period. Lane Hutson zipped a pass cross-ice to Demidov, who buried a one-timer from the right circle.

Twelve seconds into the third period, the Canadiens seized a 3-2 lead. Dach raced in behind the Wild defense and tapped in a Nick Suzuki pass for his second goal in the past three games.

Minnesota fought back to even the score at 3-3 with 12:55 left in the third period as Faber snuck behind the Montreal defense and flicked a quick shot between Dobes’ legs for the goal.
