Kirill Kaprizov tallied two goals and an assist, including the winning goal 45 seconds into overtime, to lift the Minnesota Wild to a 4-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday night in Saint Paul, Minn.

Mats Zuccarello also finished with two goals and an assist for Minnesota, which has won three of its last four. Quinn Hughes garnered three assists, including the pass to Kaprizov for the winning goal.

Lucas Raymond scored two goals to lead Detroit, which had a three-game winning streak snapped. James van Riemsdyk also scored.

Wild goaltender Filip Gustavsson stopped 30 of 34 shots to earn the victory.

Red Wings goaltender Cam Talbot allowed four goals on 39 shots.

Kaprizov took advantage of the open ice during the three-on-three overtime period. He took a pass from Hughes, carried the puck into the slot and fired a wrist shot past Talbot’s glove side.

Detroit opened the scoring on the power play 4:39 into the first period. Raymond handled the puck in the right circle and lifted a hard wrist shot past Gustavsson’s stick side.

The Wild answered with a power-play goal to pull even with 2:41 left in the first period. Kaprizov scored on a one-timer off a pass from Zuccarello.

Raymond struck again to give the Red Wings a 2-1 lead with 3:38 to go in the second. He capitalized on a turnover by the Wild and punched a shot into the net for his second goal of the game and his 17th of the season.

In the first minute of the third period, Minnesota evened the score at 2-all. Zuccarello scored on a backhand shot.

Van Riemsdyk gave Detroit its third lead with 14:24 to go in regulation. He battled for position in front of the net and tapped in a shot to make it 3-2.

Zuccarello continued his big night with his second goal of the game and his eighth of the season with 13:49 remaining in the third. Talbot failed to smother a loose puck in front of the net, and Zuccarello punched it in before the goaltender could recover.
