The Dallas Wings announced on Sunday afternoon that star Paige Bueckers has cleared concussion protocol but will be out for today’s game against the Minnesota Lynx due to an unrelated illness.
Bueckers, the top overall selection in this year’s WNBA draft, has missed the Wings’ last three games due to a concussion. The Wings (1-8) are winless in that stretch.
The 23-year-old is the Wings’ second-leading scorer at 14.7 points per game. She also leads the team in assists (6.7).
The Wings also announced Ty Harris (knee) was out and Teaira McCowan had a national team obligation.
