The WNBA Draft pulled in its second largest television audience Monday with an average of 1.25 million viewers, according to ESPN.
The broadcast peaked at 1.46 million viewers and was up 119 percent, on average, from the 2023 WNBA Draft. UConn’s Paige Bueckers was the No. 1 overall selection Monday by the Dallas Wings.
The league’s most watched draft was in 2024 when 2.45 million watched as Caitlin Clark was drafted first overall by the Indiana Fever. That audience was 307 percent larger than in 2023.
During the 2024 regular season, WNBA viewership was up 170 percent while in-person attendance increased by 47 percent.
