Caliyah DeVillasee added 13 points, and Kylie Torrence had a team-leading nine rebounds for Cincinnati (6-10, 1-3), which used an 8-0 run to grab an early 12-5 lead in the first quarter, played a close, back-and-forth game for the middle two periods, then pulled away late. The Bearcats hung on despite not making any field goals for the last 5:19 of the game.

Audi Crooks had 23 points and 10 rebounds while Jada Williams added 13 points and seven assists for Iowa State (14-2, 2-2), which never led by more than three points and was stymied for the majority of the game thanks in large part to 36% shooting from the field and just 19% from beyond the arc. Their largest lead of the game was three points.

Sarah Strong scored a game-high 24 points and the top-ranked Huskies had little trouble with the Red Storm in Hartford, Conn.

Beautiful Waheed led St. John’s (13-4, 3-3) with 14 points. The Red Storm, coming off back-to-back wins against Marquette and DePaul, committed 33 turnovers, which resulted in 46 points for the Huskies.

Olivia Miles posted 20 points, six rebounds and eight assists as the Horned Frogs held to beat the visiting Cowgirls in Fort Worth, Texas.

Clara Silva had 12 points and seven rebounds, and Marta Suarez added 11 points for TCU (15-1, 3-1 Big 12), which trailed 51-50 with 6:59 left in the fourth quarter but went on a 7-0 run to retake the lead and create space on the scoreboard. Jadyn Wooten had a team-high 25 points off the bench and Stailee Heard added 23 points for Oklahoma State (13-4, 2-2).

Jalynn Bristow led the Lady Raiders (17-0, 4-0 Big 12) with nine rebounds and her three assists tied for the team lead. In a game in which neither team ever led by more than six points, West Virginia (13-3, 3-1) with less than two minutes to play when Maupin’s 3-pointer with 1:52 to play gave the visitors the lead for good.

Jordan Harrison had 22 points, Carter McCray added 15 points and six rebounds, and Kierra Wheeler had a team-leading nine rebounds for the Mountaineers, who had won seven straight entering the game.

No. 19 Ohio State 78, Illinois 69
