Aubrey Galvan scored 20 points and helped No. 5 Vanderbilt remain perfect by staving off No. 8 Michigan 72-69 on Monday at the Coretta Scott King Classic in Newark, N.J.

Mikayla Blakes and Justine Pissott each added 14 points and Pissott added team highs of eight rebounds and five assists for the Commodores (19-0), who assisted on 20 of their 25 made baskets.

Vanderbilt went on a 10-0 run in the first quarter and dominated the second quarter to establish a 47-30 halftime lead. Michigan (15-3) ended the third quarter on a 6-0 run to get back within single digits and used a 10-2 stretch early in the fourth to cut it to 65-63. But Aiyana Mitchell’s jumper and Galvan’s 3-pointer put Vanderbilt ahead by seven with three minutes to go, and it held on from there.

Syla Swords and Kendall Dudley scored 16 points apiece, Olivia Olson had 14 points and Brooke Q. Daniels wrangled 10 rebounds for the Wolverines.

No. 12 Ohio State 71, No. 9 TCU 69

She and her sister Kennedy Cambridge combined for 12 of Ohio State’s final 15 points in a fourth quarter that contained eight ties and three lead changes. Kennedy made a tiebreaking 3-pointer and Jaloni added two go-ahead free throws before Gray nailed a triple with 16 seconds left to make it 70-66.

Olivia Miles racked up 24 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists to power TCU (18-2), which led 18-8 after one quarter before the Buckeyes chipped away at the lead. Taylor Bigby scored 14 points and Clara Silva added 12 and eight rebounds.

No. 20 Princeton 82, Harvard 79 (OT)

Ashley Chea nailed the game-tying 3-pointer in the last second of regulation, Madison St. Rose scored six of her 19 points in overtime and the host Tigers got past the Crimson for their 14th straight victory.

Chea also finished with 19, while Princeton (16-1, 4-0 Ivy) got 14 points from Olivia Hutcherson, 13 from Skye Belker and 11 points, nine rebounds and five steals from Fadima Tall.
