NOTES: Established in 1904, this is the second-oldest non-major on the PGA Tour behind the BMW Championship (1899). … TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley will host the tournament for the first time and is the 38th course overall to host the RBC Canadian Open. … Rory McIlroy seeks to join Tommy Armour, Sam Snead and Lee Trevino as the only three-time winners of the event. … Luke Clanton will make his professional debut after recently completing his junior season at Florida State. He follows Gordon Sargent as the second player to earn his PGA Tour card through the University Accelerated program. Sargent is also making his professional debut after finishing his season at Vanderbilt. … David Ford makes his debut as a PGA Tour member after finishing No. 1 in the 2025 University Ranking. … There are 21 Canadians in the field, and 26 players who competed in last week’s Memorial Tournament. … The top five players in the Aon Swing 5 after this event will earn spots in the next signature event at the Travelers Championship. The list currently includes Matti Schmid, Ryan Fox, Bud Cauley (not in this week’s field), Harry Higgs and Mackenzie Hughes.
BEST BETS: Rory McIlroy (+450 at DraftKings) is already a three-time winner in 2025 who enters well rested, having not played since the PGA Championship. … Ludvig Aberg (+1400) has been highly inconsistent this year but can be a factor any week, as evidence by his win at The Genesis and seventh at the Masters. … Corey Conners (+2000) is the highest-ranked Canadian at No. 21 but has yet to finish better than sixth in his national event. … Shane Lowry (+2200) has knocked on the door several times this year, including last week when he had to settle for T23 after a 77 on Sunday. … Robert MacIntyre (+2800) will be defending his maiden PGA Tour title at a different location, but did finish T20 last week after a T6 at the Charles Schwab Challenge. … Nick Taylor (+4500) held a share of the 36-hole lead last week and won earlier this year in Honolulu. In 2023, he became the first Canadian to win this event since Pat Fletcher in 1954. … Erik Van Rooyen (+9000) may be road weary, but he’s also coming off a six-shot win at his U.S. Open qualifier on Monday.
