NOTES: Last year’s tournament finished on Monday due to darkness in the final round. Mickelson beat Paul Casey by three strokes for his fifth victory at Pebble Beach, tied with Mark O’Meara for the most in tournament history. At 48, Mickelson also became the oldest winner in tournament history. … Casey won the pro-am portion of the event with FedEx president and CEO Don Colleran. … Previous event winner Jordan Spieth was ranked No. 3 entering the tournament in 2018. He is currently No. 55 and has not won since The Open Championship in 2017. … The pro-am field includes athletes from other sports including Eli and Peyton Manning, Wayne Gretzky, Aaron Rodgers and Tony Romo.

BEST BETS: Dustin Johnson (+650 at DraftKings) won in 2009 and 2010 and has five top-three finishes in 12 starts. He has made 16 worldwide starts since his last win. … Patrick Cantlay (+1000) is the second-highest ranked player in the field at No. 8. He also has three top-fives in his past five official starts on the PGA Tour. … Casey (+1800) has posted runner-up and T8 finishes in the event over the past two years. … Jason Day (+2200) has five top-six finishes in the event but has yet to win. … Snedeker (+2500) is also a two-time winner (2013, ’15) and eats up the West Coast swing in general. … Along with five wins, Mickelson (+3000) has a pair of runner-up and third-place finishes. He’s also coming off a T3 at the Saudi International. … It’s a matter of when, not if, Viktor Hovland (+3500) picks up his first PGA Tour win this year. He has missed three of four cuts, but was in contention before finishing T12 at the U.S. Open here last summer. … Graeme McDowell (+4500) is coming off a win at the Saudi International. He was T18 at the AT&T last year, T16 at the U.S. Open and, oh yeah, won the U.S. Open at Pebble in 2010. … Max Homa (+5500) has three top-10s in his past five starts, including a T6 last week. … Scott Stallings (+12500) is a dark horse with long odds. He also has a T14, solo seventh and solo third in his past three starts in the event.

NOTES: The event is co-sanctioned by the LPGA, the ALPG, The European Tour and the ISPS Handa PGA Tour of Australia for the second consecutive year. … The field will consist of 144 men and 144 women, who will play one round each on the Beach and Creek Courses over the first two days. The field will then be cut to 60 players plus ties for both men and women. All players will compete on the Beach Course for the final two rounds. … The women’s field includes Australia’s seven-time major champion Karrie Webb. … Boutier won by two strokes last year for her first LPGA Tour victory. She has also finished in the top 10 in each of this year’s first two events. … Hataoka has finished runner-up in both 2020 events.
