No team has notified the NCAA Tournament selection committee that it won’t be able to compete in the tournament because of COVID-19, ESPN reported Sunday.
Teams had a deadline of 11 p.m. ET on Saturday to withdraw from consideration to be selected for the tournament. That includes No. 11 Kansas, No. 16 Virginia and unranked Duke, which had to pull out of their conference tournaments because of COVID-19 testing and contact tracing.
The 68-team tournament field will be announced Sunday night at 6 p.m.
After that time, selected teams have 48 hours to inform the NCAA if they won’t be able to take part and will be replaced in the tournament by a team on standby.
To play in the NCAA Tournament, all of which will be played in the Indianapolis area, a team must have seven consecutive negative daily tests and undergo continued daily testing after arriving. The NCAA said a team needs only five healthy players to participate.
