Manager Bud Black and the Colorado Rockies agreed to a three-year contract extension.
The Denver Post reported the news Monday as Black, a finalist for manager of the year in 2017 and 2018, prepares to begin his third season on the Rockies’ bench.
His contract now expires after the 2022 season.
In two seasons with Colorado, Black has a record of 178-147, leading the Rockies to the playoffs in back-to-back seasons.
Black, 61, has 827 wins in 12 seasons as a manager in the major leagues.
