Simona Halep revealed Saturday that she has tested positive for COVID-19 and is self-quarantining as she recovers.
Halep, the World No. 2 from Romania, said she has mild symptoms in a tweet Saturday morning.
Hi everyone, I wanted to let you know that I tested positive for COVID-19. I am self-isolating at home and am recovering well from mild symptoms. I feel good… we will get through this together ????

The two-time Grand Slam champion (French Open 2018, Wimbledon 2019) has won three titles this year and has a 23-3 match record. She’s won 22 titles in her career.
Halep, 29, pulled out of the U.S. Open in August, citing coronavirus concerns and saying she planned to “stay and train in Europe.”
