Team Griffin’s parent company reportedly canceled its players’ contracts, effectively making everyone on the team’s League of Legends roster a free agent.
According to dotesports.com, the parent company Still8 “apologized for the unfair contracts it gave the players” and told the players they could either sign revised deals or enter free agency.
Later on Monday, Griffin announced the departures of Ji-hoon “Chovy” Jeong, Si-woo “Lehends” Son and Hyeon-joon “Doran” Choi.
“We are here to convey a piece of upsetting news,” the team posted on Twitter. “Our contract with Lehends, Doran and Chovy was ended after mutual consent. Sincerely thank you for bringing precious memories and spectacular games to Griffin and Ourfin. Best Wishes. Thank you.”

In addition to contract complaints, several Griffin players also have claimed that former coach Dae-ho “cvMax” Kim physically and verbally abused them. The team parted ways with cvMax in September.
Riot Korea announced last week that cvMax was suspended indefinitely from the league. He had been hired to coach DragonX.
