The UFC is eyeing Arizona as a potential landing spot should it be unable to hold its event on May 30 at its Apex building in Las Vegas.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission has not lifted its ban on combat sports due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey said Tuesday that sports would be allowed to resume in the state, which took effect Saturday. Fans will not be permitted at events because of guidelines related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“If we can’t get May 30 at the Apex, it’s going to be super disappointing, but we will go somewhere else,” UFC president Dana White said late Saturday after UFC Fight Night.
When asked if Arizona would be the new destination, White said: “That’s 100 percent where I’ll go.”
UFC concluded a stretch of three cards in eight days on Saturday night at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla.
