UFC Vegas 14 Betting Odds: Felder underdog on short notice

Rafael dos Anjos

Paul Felder is understandably the underdog for the main event on Saturday’s UFC Vegas 14 card.

“The Irish Dragon” agreed to the fight against former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos (29-13) on just five days’ notice. Felder (17-5), who also serves as a commentator for the UFC, is being offered at +155 by BetRivers and +160 by DraftKings.

However, Felder has been backed by 61 percent of the fight handle at BetRivers. Felder to win by TKO/KO (+600) and dos Anjos to win by submission (+600) are the two most popular prop bets of the event at the sportsbook.

Per Haljestam-USA TODAY Sports

dos Anjos, who will compete in the lightweight category for the first time since 2016, has been backed by 54 percent of the handle and 67 percent of the total bets at DraftKings.

Four of Felder’s past five wins have come as the underdog, while dos Anjos is seeking to avoid his second three-fight losing streak in the UFC.

The biggest underdog on the card by DraftKings is Saparbek Safarov (+239) vs. Julian Marquez (-315). Marquez is being backed by 92 percent of the fight handle and 88 percent of the total bets.

The closest odds are on Brendan Allen (-120) vs. Sean Strickland (-105). Allen is being backed by 80 percent of the fight handle, but a solid 43 percent of the winner bets have been placed on Strickland.
