Team USA is the heavy favorite entering this week’s Presidents Cup, indicative of the side that has won 10 of the previous 12 playings of the event.
The International Team’s lone victory came in 1998 at Royal Melbourne, the venue for this week’s Presidents Cup as well. And the Internationals are hoping Patrick Reed’s rules gaffe at the Hero World Challenge will contribute to a more lively home-crowd advantage.
However, even minus injured world No. 1 Brooks Koepka, Tiger Woods’ team is heavily favored to improve its Presidents Cup record to 11-1-1.
Team USA has a -345 moneyline at DraftKings, compared to +250 for the International Team and +1400 for a tie. PointsBet is offering the Americans at -303 vs. +300 for the Internationals and +1200 for a tie.
Among the numerous tournament prop bets is who will be the event’s top scorer.
Justin Thomas is the favorite to take the honor by both DraftKings (+800) and PointsBet (+450), followed by teammate Dustin Johnson (+900, +600).
While PointsBet is offering Xander Schauffele at the same odds as Johnson, DraftKings has Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama (+1000) and Australia’s Adam Scott (+1100) as the next lowest betting odds for top overall points scorer.
Woods will be a playing captain, although it remains to be seen how many matches he will put himself in while he balances duties. He is +1600 by DraftKings and +2800 by PointsBet to be the leading points scorer.
Both books are offering numerous props for each day of the event as well as score-specific props.
PointsBet has the United States as a 3 1/3-point favorite at -125 vs. Team International at +100.
It will take 15.5 for one side to clinch this year’s Presidents Cup. The lowest correct points total props at PointsBet is the United States winning 16.5-13.5 or 16-14 – both scores being offered at +900.

The International Team features a pair of major winners with Scott and South Africa’s Louis Oosthuizen. However, Oosthuizen (7-5-3) is the only International on the roster with a winning Presidents Cup record and captain Ernie Els will be relying on his seven rookies to step up under intense pressure.
Australia’s Cameron Smith and reigning PGA Tour Rookie of the Year Sungjae Im from South Korea are both being offered at +300 by PointsBet to be the top-scoring rookie on the International team.
They are followed by Chile’s Joaquin Niemann (+500), a first-time winner on the PGA Tour this fall, Mexico’s Abraham Ancer (+550), South Korea’s Byeong Hun An (+600), China’s Haotong Li (+650) and Taipei’s C.T. Pan (+1000).
