The Washington Redskins joined the Philadelphia Eagles in limiting or eliminating travel for coaches and scouts during the pre-draft process.
Redskins owner Daniel Snyder made the announcement Thursday, the same day the NBA’s Washington Wizards advised players and staff to self quarantine.
“Due to health and travel concerns surrounding COVID-19 #Redskins have informed all coaches and scouts to suspend all travel until further notice,” Snyder said in a statement.
The NFL said earlier in the week it was in contact with the World Health Organization regarding plans and contingency protocol for the annual spring meetings in Florida scheduled for March 29, and the NFL Draft in Las Vegas scheduled for April 23-25.
