Deontay Wilder is favored to beat Tyson Fury by several sportsbooks after opening as the underdog for Saturday’s heavyweight rematch in Las Vegas.
The shift has been prominent at the Churchill Downs-owned BetAmerica, where the moneyline on Wilder (42-0-1) has flipped from +121 to -120 due to a number of large wagers over the past month. Meanwhile, the odds on Fury (29-0-1) have moved from -157 to +100.
The odds are much tighter at DraftKings, where Wilder is being offered at -115 to Fury at -106. FanDuel is offering both fighters at -108.
The fight not going the distance is a popular wager at BetAmerica (-135) compared to it going the full 12 rounds (+100). The most popular wager in BetAmerica’s Fight Outcome market is Wilder winning by KO, TKO or Disqualification, with those odds moving from +165 to +110.
Fight Outcome odds:
- Wilder by Decision (+800)
- Fury by Decision (+165)
- Draw or Technical Draw (+2000)
- Wilder by KO, TKO or Disqualification (+110)
- Fury by KO, TKO or Disqualification (+500)
“We’ve been taking bets on this fight for a year and Fury was favorite right up until the start of this month, but sentiment has shifted significantly towards Wilder over the past two weeks,” BetAmerica’s Andrew Brown said.
