Purdue quarterback Aidan O’Connell will be a game-time decision Saturday against Florida Atlantic because of an unspecified injury, ESPN reported Friday.
O’Connell ranks fourth in the nation with exactly 1,000 passing yards through three games this season with the Boilermakers (1-2, 0-1 Big Ten).
He has completed 64.2 percent of his passes with eight touchdowns and one interception.
O’Connell joined Purdue as a walk-on in 2017. He suffered a season-ending foot injury in the third game of the 2020 season but returned to pass for 3,712 yards with 28 TDs and 11 interceptions in 2021.
UCLA transfer Austin Burton is listed as the backup QB for the Boilermakers.
