Bilibili Gaming defeated Hanwha Life 3-1 on Thursday to reserve their spot in the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational grand final in Daejeon, South Korea.
Hanwha Life slid to the lower bracket final and will meet the winner of the third-round match between G2 Esports and LYON, to be played Friday.
Bilibili opened with a 25-minute victory on blue and a 29-minute win on red before Hanwha Life triumphed in 31 minutes on blue. Bilibili closed it out in 38 minutes on red.
Ding “Knight” Zhuo of Bilibili was the MVP of the match. The 26-year-old, who is from China, led his team with a 25-3-29 kills-deaths-assists ratio.
The grand final of the $2 million tournament will be played on Monday. The champion will receive $500,000 and qualify for this fall’s 2026 World Championship. All matches are best-of-five.
