PARIVISION, Natus Vincere move atop Group B at DreamLegion 29

Natus Vincere and PARIVISION each won twice on Thursday to share first place in Group B at the DreamLeague Season 29 event.

PARIVISION and Natus Vincere both improved to 3-0. PlayTime, which also earned two victories on Thursday, is tied for third in Group B at 2-1 with Xtreme Gaming, who split their two Thursday matches.

In Group A, Team Spirit and Team Falcons rose to 3-0 by each claiming their lone Thursday match. Team Liquid and Virtus.pro, the group’s other Thursday winners, share third place at 2-1.

The $1 million Dota 2 event is beginning with the 16 teams divided into two groups for round-robin play. The top four teams in each group earn spots in the upper bracket for the double-elimination playoffs, while the fifth- and sixth-place teams will start the playoffs in the lower bracket.

All matches through the event are best-of-three until the final on May 24, which will be best-of-five. The championship team will receive $250,000 in player prize money, a club bonus of $40,000 and a minimum of 6,000 ESL Pro Tour points.

On Thursday, REKONIX opened with a 46-minute win on green before Natus Vincere claimed the next two maps, in 32 minutes on red and in 55 minutes on red. Ukraine’s Taras “gotthejuice” Linnikov led Natus Vincere with a 28-6-37 kill-death-assist ratio. Indonesia’s Muhammad Rizky “inYourdreaM” Anugrah registered a 27-8-29 K-D-A ratio for REKONIX.

Natus Vincere topped BetBoom Team in 48 minutes on green and 41 minutes on red. Ukraine’s Yurii “pma” Prots logged a 19-13-27 K-D-A ratio for Natus Vincere. Russia’s Ilya “Kiritych” Ulyanov posted a 14-12-14 K-D-A ratio for BetBoom Team.

PARIVISION began with a 30-minute victory on green before BetBoom Team equalized in 42 minutes on red. PARIVISION sealed the match by prevailing in 45 minutes on green. Russia’s Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov produced a 25-13-15 K-D-A ratio for PARIVISION. Russia’s Danil “gpk” Skutin finished at 28-19-22 for BetBoom Team.

Xtreme Gaming grabbed a 47-minute victory on red, but PARIVISION bounced back for two wins on green, in 65 minutes and 58 minutes. Satanic amassed a 28-14-22 K-D-A ratio for PARIVISION, while China’s Wang “Ame” Chunyu wound up at 16-9-23 for Xtreme Gaming.

In other Group B action, PlayTime topped Nigma Galaxy 2-0 and REKONIX 2-0, Xtreme Gaming dumped Tundra Esports 2-0, and Tundra Esports toppled Nigma Galaxy 2-1.

In Group A, Team Spirit swept Aurora Gaming 2-0, Team Falcons handled ex-HEROIC 2-0, Team Liquid blitzed GamerLegion 2-0, and Virtus.pro bested Vici Gaming 2-0.
