Team Spirit await foe in grand final of PGL Wallachia Season 6

After battling their way into the grand final, MOUZ knocked off previously unbeaten Team Spirit 3-2 on Sunday to win Dota 2 PGL Wallachia Season 6 in Bucharest, Romania.

The $1 million event awarded $300,000 to MOUZ for the win, with Team Spirit collecting $175,000 as runner-up and third-place Team Liquid pocketing $120,000.

MOUZ had lost their opening playoff match on Thursday to PARIVISION 2-1 in the upper-bracket quarterfinals, then worked their way through the lower bracket in the double-elimination tournament, with all matches best-of-3.

Sweeps of HEROIC and OG were followed by a 2-1 victory over BetBoom Team on Saturday to reach Sunday’s first competition, the lower-bracket final against Team Liquid.

MOUZ won in 39 minutes on red before Team Liquid drew even with a 48-minute win on red. MOUZ took the decisive third map in 39 minutes on green to advance to the best-of-5 grand final.

Malaysian Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng led MOUZ with a 39-11-50 kill-death-assist ratio for MOUZ in the match, teammate Daniyal “yamich” Lazebnyy of Russia had a 19-18-63 K-D-A ratio and Oleh “kaori” Medvedok of Ukraine contributed an 8-21-51 K-D-A.

Team Spirit took the grand final’s opener in a marathon 55 minutes on red, then MOUZ took the next two in 35 minutes and 40 minutes, both on green. Team Spirit stayed alive with a 43-minute victory on green, then MOUZ won in 44 minutes on green for the 3-2 edge.

Czech Miroslav “BOOM” Bican posted a 23-26-69 K-D-A for MOUZ, and Dutchman Remco “Crystallis” Aretz recorded a 26-19-47 K-D-A over five maps.
