FC Dallas midfielder Paxton Pomykal is recovering from knee surgery, with a recovery time of up to a year.
Pomykal, 24, underwent a procedure Wednesday in Los Angeles to repair cartilage damage in his left knee, the team confirmed Thursday.
His recovery will take between nine and 12 months, according to the team.
Pomykal made just one appearance this season, playing six minutes in a 2-1 loss to CF Montreal on March 2.
He has recorded four goals and 15 assists in 127 career MLS matches (91 starts) with FC Dallas since 2017.
